Today marks the fourth anniversary of ABAD’s establishment as a
public legal entity.
ABAD (Simplified Support to Family Businesses) public legal
entity run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under
the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established following the
Presidential Decree dated 23 September 2016.
The main purpose on establishing the organization is to carry
out socially-oriented projects aimed at ensuring the active participation of
the citizens in the socio-economic life of the Republic of Azerbaijan,
developing small and medium entrepreneurship, raising the employment rate of
the population and supporting the formation of competitive family businesses in
the country.
ABAD implements assistance projects for family businesses
engaged in handcrafting and food production. Within the course of its activities,
the organization regularly attracts investments for implementation of projects
and has built numerous partnerships with both local and international
organizations. It should be noted that along with the name of the producer
family, an appropriate label indicating that the product is manufactured under
the supervision of ABAD is placed on the products.
ABAD renders business planning, branding and design, financial
accounting and legal assistance services to family households, as well as
provides with equipment and conducts respective training courses.
During the past period, ABAD has been functioning through 6
regional centres, including Masally, Balakan, Guba, Sheki, Imishli and Tovuz,
10 Ethno-boutiques (Icheri Sheher, Airport, Railway Station, Fairmont Baku
Hotel, National Gymnastics Arena, ASAN Service No. 3, Centre in Masally “ASAN
Life ”complex, Centre in Damirchi village-Shamakhi raion, Gabala raion -
Tufandagh mountain ski resort, Sheki Ceramics and applied arts centre, 5 Food
Halls (in Imishly, Sheki, Shamakhi, Kurdamir and Agjabedi), 8 ABAD in-stores in
“Bravo” markets chain (Koroghlu, Babek, Ahmadli, 20 Yanvar, Ganjlik Mall, 28
Mall, Deniz Mall and Chocolate Tower), 22 production containers (10 in Masally
and 12 in Balakan), two ABAD Factories (Guba ABAD Factory Production Complex
and Tovuz ABAD Factory for Drying and Processing Plants) and two ABAD Schools
(in Guba and Tovuz).
Up to date, more than 466 citizens received ABAD’s support and
419 of them have ongoing cooperation currently. As a result of ABAD's
activities, 278 new business entities have been established, and currently, 401
individuals and 18 legal entities are supported. As a result of ABAD's
commercial activities, thousands of goods made by ABAD members offered for sale
including handicrafts and food products.
In the near future, it is planned to open Guba ABAD Factory 2 (Packaging and Production Complex), Nardaran Ceramics and Applied Arts Center, increase support and the number of ABAD members.
