"ABAD" beneficiary: Javid Eyyubov | Region: Goychay | Wood carving
The tradition of creating artworks through carving, chiseling, and engraving techniques has historically existed in Azerbaijan. The drawings and figures carved on stone by our ancestors in ancient times are evidence of this. Javid Eyyubov, who became acquainted with the art of wood carving at the Youth Vocational Rehabilitation Center, says he is passionate about this art:
“I particularly enjoy depicting Azerbaijan’s monuments and national musical instruments. I love the souvenirs I create, and I feel twice as joyful when they are sold. It means they are appreciated and valued. One of the best days of my life so far was when the ‘ABAD’ leadership appreciated my handmade works and welcomed me into the ‘ABAD’ artisan family.”
Master Javid, who consistently relies on “ABAD” as a source of income, believes that the organization will enable him to reach greater heights in his art and participate in international exhibitions in the future. It should be noted that Javid Eyyubov’s handmade works can be obtained at “ABAD” exhibition-sales centers.
