Nahid Hasanli, an “ABAD” artisan, was born in Nakhchivan city. Since 1998, he has been living in Baku city. As a graduate of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, he works in the family business.

“In 2002, an idea emerged in our family to produce glass products with national attributes. From that idea, we established the first company in Azerbaijan engaged in decorative-applied arts on glassware. Thus, we started with a small workshop, where, together with family members, we began creating national ornaments, decorations, patterns, and embellishments on armudu glasses.

Because we love this field and draw inspiration from our passion for it, we set ourselves the goal of deeply learning, applying, and passing down this glass art to future generations. As ‘Buta Glass’ LLC, we continue to work toward this goal today.”

According to N. Hasanli, before “ABAD,” they were compelled to handle retail sales of their products personally, which naturally left less time for their art:

“We learned about an organization in Azerbaijan called ‘ABAD’—Easy Support for Family Businesses—and presented our works to them. Through this, we joined ‘ABAD’ and became ‘ABAD’ artisans. ‘ABAD’ has provided significant support in organizing the sale of our products in the city and regions.”

Speaking about future plans, Nahid Hasanli stated that they aim to strengthen their mutual cooperation with “ABAD”:

“We aspire for our products to reach not only the domestic market but also international markets, and we hope to achieve this with the support of ‘ABAD.’ We are confident that national products under the ‘Made in Azerbaijan’ brand will find their way to markets, museums, and international exhibitions. We take pride in collaborating with ‘ABAD’ in these endeavors.”
