ABAD Celebrates its 3rd Anniversary
ABAD (Simplified Support to Family Businesses) public legal entity run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the Presidential Decree dated 23 September 2016.

The main purpose on establishing the organization is to carry out socially-oriented projects aimed at ensuring the active participation of the citizens in the social-economic life of the Republic of Azerbaijan, developing small and medium entrepreneurship, raising the employment rate of the population and supporting the formation of competitive family businesses in the country.

ABAD centres provide business planning, equipment, marketing, training courses, branding and design, financial accounting and legal assistance services to family households.
ABAD manages certification of products based on the “single window” (one-stop-shop) principle, as well as arranges sales and logistics of products.

Along with a producer family’s brand name, a special label is also placed on every product that attests to its production under the inspection of ABAD.

ABAD centres implement assistance projects for family businesses engaged in arts and agriculture. Along with the manufacturer's name, a relevant label mark is placed on the manufactured product under the supervision of ABAD.

ABAD started to operate as a  pilot project with seven families in Masally. At present, 394 micro, small and medium entrepreneurs from 39 regions of Azerbaijan, have joined ABAD's support program. Roughly 40 food brands are being presented at ABAD stalls, located in the country's largest hypermarkets chain. Decorative and applied art samples are offered for sale in ABAD ethno-boutiques .

Tovuz ABAD Factory (For processing and drying of plants), Guba Packaging Plant, a new ABAD School, and the Nardaran ABAD Ceramics and Decorative Applied Arts Center are expected to open by the end of 2019.
