On November 10, a memorial spring was unveiled in Demirchi village of Shamakhi district to immortalize the memory of Rajab Guliyev, a martyr of the Patriotic War.

Tahir Mammadov, head of the Shamakhi District Executive Power, Rufat Elchiyev, director of the ABAD public legal entity, family members of our martyrs and veterans took part in the event of commemoration.

First, the memory of our compatriots, who rose to the summit of martyrdom for the integrity of our lands, was commemorated with a minute of silence. Then the speakers spoke about the historical significance of the liberation of our occupied lands in 44 days in the Second Karabakh War, the heroism of our brave sons of the Fatherland, as well as the short but glorious life and career of Rajab Guliyev.

Rajab Guliyev was born on December 5, 1997 in Demirchi village of Shamakhi. He received his secondary education in 2004-2015 at the village school.

He served in the army from 13.01.2016 to 03.07.2017.

Since February 2, 2018, he made an invaluable contribution to the development of micro and small business as an employee of ABAD public legal entity.

He was called up for active military service by the Shamakhi branch of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription in connection with the partial mobilization announced on September 29, 2020. He showed great courage in battles and was distinguished by his heroism.

He was martyred heroically in the Zangilan region on the last day of the war.
