Women living in the regions who want to set up or expand their business can join the new Smart Lady project. The project will be implemented in Gakh, Zagatala, Balakan, Ganja, Tovuz, Shamkir, Lankaran, Masally and Bilasuvar districts.

Participants of the program will get access experts in the field helping them with gaining the fundamental knowledge, which in turn will enable them to become an entrepreneur of the future without leaving the region. The attendees will also have an opportunity to work on a project to turn their start-up ideas into a real business. At the end of the program, support will be provided to successful participants to turn the 3 winning ideas into start-ups.

The project covers 4 stages:

1. "Discover" – Face-to-face event in the regions (for acquaintance and explanation)

2. "Learn" - Development program (online trainings, meetings with mentors)

3. "Apply" - Work on the project (online and offline meetings with mentors)

4. "Shine" - 3-day Bootcamp event (selection of the best 3 projects)

What to expect:

Going through the aforementioned stages, participants will obtain knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs including how to effectively communicate, sell, focus, learn, and strategize as growing a business requires a sound strategy based on inherent business sense and skills.

Who can join the program:

· Any woman over the age of 18 who is motivated to start her own business;

· A resident of one of the program districts;

· A strong desire to create a business in their region, individually or in a group, or to improve an existing business.

The project is implemented in partnership with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ABAD public legal entity, Innovation Center, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, State Agency for Family, Women and Children and the Committee, the Center for Youth Development and Career.
