
On May 25 a press tour was organized for the media representatives to familiarize themselves with the participants of the International Ceramics Symposium entitled "From Nature to History" and the general working process, which is being held by ABAD PLE in the Sheki Ceramics and Applied Art Center.
Mir Teymur Mammadov, a coordinator of Sheki Ceramics and Applied Art Center, briefed media representatives on the purpose of the Symposium and its attendees.
It was noted that the opening of the symposium took place on May 21 and immediately after the ceremony, artists began to work:
"Ceramists participating here are craftsmen who know enough about their profession. 22 participants from 14 foreign countries will work together in the centre for two weeks. The aim of the symposium is to exchange experiences, to get acquainted with the contemporary trends in ceramic art, to present Azerbaijan as a Land of Crafts, to voice the world about the development of ceramics in ancient Sheki. "
Then the media representatives got acquainted with the participants and received extensive interviews about their art, event and the conditions created here.
The media tour finalized with the show "Raku Ceramic", which was held at Sheki Ceramics and Applied Art Center.
Should note that the symposium will last till June 2.
