
On July 14-25, 2019, the course titled “Sustainable agricultural development for developing small island countries and Asia” was held on the initiative of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia. The event was organized by the Institute for Rural Development (INFRA).
The aim was to familiarize the government officials from Asian and small island countries with the achievements, methodological programs, innovations in Malaysian agriculture and exchange of experiences.
Along with Bangladesh, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Congo, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan and Cambodia, Azerbaijan also was represented in the course. Along with informational and practical sessions, the participants were acquainted with the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the University of Putra and other local organizations, exchanged views with local entrepreneurs.
Within the framework of the course, a wide range of information on the activities and mechanisms of ASAN service centres under the subordination of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ABAD public legal entity was presented and a special presentation was given about ABAD and participants' questions were answered.
