Samir Habibov, a resident of Lankaran city and an ABAD-supported artisan, specializes in the art of carving within the realm of decorative-applied crafts. Although he did not receive formal higher education in this field, Samir is dedicated to continuously improving his skills and mastering the intricacies of carving.

He shares: “Before joining ABAD, I never thought about selling my souvenirs. I made small items mostly as a hobby. But now, I believe my craft will flourish and grow.”

Speaking about his expectations from ABAD, Samir says:

“It’s a fascinating project with a bright future. It promotes our national traditions in decorative-applied arts while encouraging artisans like me to create and innovate.”

“I look to the future with confidence. Despite the challenges of my craft, I plan to expand it—from opening a dedicated workshop to reaching global markets.”
