"ABAD" beneficiary: Lala Samadova | Region: Baku | Painting
Lala Samadova is an “ABAD” artisan who receives support in the field of decorative-applied folk artistry.
Born in the Masalli district, Ms. Lala obtained higher education in tourism and hospitality. She creates various products using epoxy resin and describes her introduction to this art form as follows:
“When I first encountered prayer beads made from transparent liquid, their beauty greatly caught my attention, and I began researching their production methods through foreign sources. Initially, since I didn’t have molds, I made the products using confectionery molds. My first order was an ashtray and dominoes made from epoxy.”
In 2019, Ms. Lala applied to “ABAD” with the desire to introduce her products to a larger audience. One of her aspirations in this field is to develop the brand she created with “ABAD” and, at the same time, organize courses to teach others what she knows.
It should be noted that Lala Samadova’s handmade works can be obtained at “ABAD” ethno-boutiques.
