Farmail Ahmedov

Farmail Ahmedov, a resident of Khachmaz raion, was born in a family of well-known musician Habil Damirov. He is a talented performer of wind instruments, as well as a skilled handcrafter, who makes zournas, pipe, balaban, and drum from different types of trees. Apparently, his grandson Farmail inherited his proclivity toward decorative-applied art from him.

F. Ahmedov is an engineer, however, he devotes all his leisure time to artistic wood carving. Being an “ABAD” member, he is popular for egg-shaped artwork carved out of wood.

Speaking of his work and future goals, our “ABAD” member remarks: "I did not sell my crafts before joining the ABAD family. I would gift it to everyone who likes my handiwork. However, "ABAD" has given me the chance to get sales and earnings today, as well as needed support to get my work done and demonstrated all around the world. I would like to thank each member of ABAD staff who puts effort into this project. My dream is to become unexceptionable in this field and to represent my homeland Azerbaijan in different countries of the world."

Should be noted that Farmail Ahmedov's various handicrafts are available at “ABAD” ethno-boutiques.
