He also holds graduate and postgraduate studies in this field. Having a teaching career at the Academy of Arts, he is also a member of the Union of Artists:
“There are numerous areas of artistic metal: Jewellery, decorative embossing, souvenir making, etc. That’s why we say that the artistic field of metal craft carries all of these areas within itself. On the contrary to common belief, it is not only about jewellery. I am skilled at making all of these kinds of compositions; therefore, I would say that I am not only a jeweller but also a painter.”
According to him, more specifically, he is engaged in latticework: “Latticework passed down to us through generations, through ages. Flower bracelets, basket earrings, a sequence of chains, etc. are also the alphabetç a cornerstone of the latticework. The products that I hand over to ABAD are unique, exclusive works.”
Speaking about the benefits of joining ABAD, Shahin says that there is no secret in it:
“Previously, I received orders from many boutiques. But my name was not written anywhere. Not being authorised as an artist, this was frustrating me. At ABAD, gives a specific certificate to customers for each of my products, which includes my name, surname, and there is an identification code to find broad information about me on their website.
It’s an outstanding initiative from my perspective. “ You can visit the ABAD ethno-boutiques to get acquainted with the breathtaking works of Shahin Alipanahov.
