Jewellery is one of the most ancient craftsmanship fields in Azerbaijan.

Residing in Guba raion, Islam Hazratov is one of the followers of this craft which has a high artistic value. He has been working as a jeweller for over 7 years. Islam, who grew up in a family of craftspeople, would prepare figures from clay in his childhood. At the age of 8, a personal exhibition of his handicrafts held at his school.

Using various techniques in the preparation of jewellery, Islam notes: "When preparing jewellery, I prefer more lattice and enamel work. I also use traditional ornaments that fit Azerbaijan's cultural heritage on my artworks."

Islam's main aim in joining "ABAD" project is to have organized the sale of his handcrafts, as well as create a family brand.
