"ABAD" beneficiary: Elshan Ismayilov | Region: Baku | Goldsmithing
Residing in Baku, Elshan Ismayilov is one of the skilled artisans supported by ABAD. He has been engaged in latticework for 25 years now and prepares various decorative items embellished with traditional Azerbaijani ornaments.
Craftsman remarks:
“Although this is a quite tender and delicate field, it requires quite a hard work. Specifically, the subtleties of this craft made me love it”.
Elshan applied ABAD to develop his family business and continue crafting which he has been on a break since 2001.
According to him, he offers his traditional souvenirs for sale for the first time after 16 years through ABAD.
His exquisite handicrafts are presented at ABAD centres.
