Being born in "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve means to carry the atmosphere of this place for a lifetime. Our “ABAD” beneficiary Galib Hasanov is no exception.

Despite the fact that he is an architect by profession, our artist is inspired by the Icherisheher ‘s monuments and depicts them on his souvenirs.

"I know all the streets and backstreets of Icherisheher, and, of course, I can't not to love the monuments as an architect. Ceramic art is fascinating and it gives me special pleasure to describe our historical monuments through ceramics" - he remarks.

The unique chess set prepared by the master has gained great popularity among chess lovers. He created his first artwork in 1981.

The peculiarity of his chess set is that every figure represents a different monument.

Speaking about the expectations from “ABAD”, Galib said that he had been away from art for several years:

"This was due to an increase in prices for imported raw materials, stoves and paints. Now I am a retiree. With the support of the "ABAD", we have been able to reach the local crude material and my favourite hobby has become a new source of income for me"- he remarks.
